Television Service
Privatel has been a top dealer of DirecTV related services since 1998 and is excited to provide the latest in cutting edge technology from the leader in satellite television.
Resident students can view local area television networks like FOX and NBC, traditional cable networks ranging from ESPN to CNN to Disney Channel to Bravo.
Senior Community Directors & Managers can add premium content like:
- Regional Sports Networks: YES Network, NBC Sports, Bally Sports, etc.
- Premium Sports Networks: NFL Network, SEC Network, Golf Channel, etc.
- International Channels from Mexico, South America, Vietnam, and Korea
- Premium Movie Channels: HBO, Showtime, MGM+, Cinemax & Starz
In-House Channels: Privatel partners with TruDigital to bring Digital Signage and In-House Channels to senior living communities. These channels broadcast to all televisions and allow managers to create slide shows featuring menus, birthday announcements, events, or stream the weather, news, or even movies. These channels are cloud-based so there’s no need for a dedicated computer – then can be accessed via web login.
DVR: Privatel uses TiVo to give senior living communities the ability to record, pause and fast forward television. TiVo allows for voice remotes which are very useful for senior living residents. TiVos can also be used to stream content off the internet.
Internet Services
Privatel provide wired, wireless or a wired and wireless internet connections to senior living communities, rehab facilities and nursing homes.
Privatel brings in a dedicated internet circuit to the property to provide the ideal speed for residents.
All internet connections are firewall and password protected allowing for a safe and secure online experience for residents.
Privatel has two methods of providing the internet…
Cable Modems:
Privatel will provide a state-of-the-art modem. This modem comes with multiple Ethernet ports to allow for desktop computers, video game consoles and other devices to be connected via an ethernet cable.
The cable modem comes with a built-in wireless router which allows for blanket coverage of the entire apartment/home the modem would be installed in.
Each modem is uniquely password protected to provide safe and secure connections to residents.
Access Points (Hallway Deployment):
Privatel can install Wireless Access Points (WAPs) into the hallway. Residents would access this internet with a secure and unique username and password.
Phone Service
Privatel offers VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone service to residents. With a VOIP system, phone services use the modem and internet as opposed to traditional POTS (plain old telephone service) methods of providing phone service.
Privatel’s phone service comes equipped with Voicemail, Call Forwarding, Caller ID, and Do Not Disturb features. International calling plans to countries around the world are offered to residents on an individual basis.
Privatel can provide senior-friendly handsets upon request.
